    讲座题目及内容简介： 
    Research Methodology for Language Teachers: Topics and Methods In recent years many applied linguists have discussed and emphasized the role of research in language teaching. However, most teachers are still not familiar with the methodology and continue their instruction without benefiting from research results. The purpose of this talk is to define research in the context of classroom teaching and discuss some of the possibilities that are open to all teachers. Guidelines for Writing an Academic Research Paper: Elements of Structure Writing an academic research paper is an essential part of the education given to undergraduate and postgraduate students all over the world. In many cases a student’s performance is evaluated by the quality of a research paper, which can then be elaborated and extended for a higher degree. The purpose of this talk is to introduce and discuss the macro- and micro-elements of a research paper with reference to some published materials. Functional Discourse Analysis: Theory and Practice As an academic subject, Discourse Analysis studies the use of language in real contexts of situation embedded in the larger context of culture. The aim of this talk is first to introduce some of the fundamental concepts and the analytical tools used by discourse analysts in their research. In the second part of the talk detailed analyses of several text-types are used to exemplify some of the modern approaches for the study of discourse.
